Artist's Description

I call this piece "Reborn" because it formerly had a different texture and was not painted. I was never really happy with its prior look so I changed it. The blocks have a different pattern ground into them plus the color.

My interest in art began a few years ago when I was playing competitve tennis. I didn't like the ordinary look of my racquets and wanted to repaint them myself but didn't know how. After watching many car and motorcycle shows on t.v. during which they show custom painting techniques, I decided to try them on my racquets. As my painting skills improved my wife encouraged me to try painting larger items but I didn't know what to use. One day I was surfing the internet and came across a site that featured textured and painted abstract metal wall art. I loved what I saw. For the first time I saw art that held my attention.
